The chapter explores the operation of the Russia arbitrazh courts, which have jurisdiction over economic disputes. These courts, while not perfect, have succeeded in aeating a widely-used institution capable of efficiently resolving contractual disputes, ftoblems persist in enforcing the decisions of arbitrazh courts, but the blame rests more on the parties than on the courts. Whether the newly reformed bailiff service will be able to improve the situation remains to be seen.
