The following is a transcript of a videotaped interview of Matthew Zeidenberg, defendant in ProCD, Inc. v. Zeidenberg, 86 F.3d 1447 (7th Cir. 1996), and David Austin, his attorney in that case. The interviewer is Bill Whitford, Emeritus Professor of Law at the University of Wisconsin Law School. The videotape was first shown on February 7, 2004, at the Freedom from Contract Symposium during which the papers included in this symposium issue were first presented.
