The term "socio-economics" has been used in different ways over the years, but a recent systemic formulation of socio-economics' has inspired growing attention and activity among university scholars and increased reference to socio-economic principles in scholarship.2 This article focuses on this new formulation and considers its special relevance to law practice. In light of the professional responsibilities of lawyers, I conclude that socio-economics provides an attractive alternative systemic approach to understanding important connections between economic behavior and law.
