In presenting this paper on the subject of "Transactions with Deceased Persons," the subject will be approached from the standpoint of (1) origin of the so-called "deadman's statute"; (2) the construction and interpretation of the statute; (3) how may the statute be waived; and (4) the subject of remedial legislation.
